From Beechworth, you’ll join the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail . The best part? This leg toward Yackandandah is famously downhill.

Cruise smooth surfaces past sweeping views, native forest and rolling farmland with minimal pedalling required.

PEDAL THROUGH COLOUR

Just past halfway, you can’t miss the slightly-psychadelic Mindful Tunnel . This vibrant, interactive mural by artist Drez, paired with a towering flower sculpture by Skunk Control and a Ben Gilbert pavilion, makes for an ideal, art-filled snack stop. Don't forget to test the echoooooo.

BAKERY TREATS

Continue rolling right into the heart of Yackandandah. This township is a postcard-perfect spot for a stroll. Grab a well-earned lunch at the Beechworth Bakery – their famous beesting is a guaranteed hit with the kids.

If the family still has some gas in the tank, the leg from Yackandandah to Osbornes Flat is a beautiful addition, but it’s also a great one to save for your next visit.
