Ride the full length of the main Murray to Mountains Rail Trail over three days from Wangaratta to Bright, staying overnight in Beechworth and Myrtleford. This epic adventure takes you along the Ovens River past gold rush towns, historic kilns, mountain views, autumn leaves, hop fields, farm gates and swimming holes and can also be done as a self-guided or guided tour with Tour de Vines and The Bike Hire Company.
All about the eats and drinks? Treat yourself to a cornucopia of wine, cheese, preserves, honey and more on the Beechworth to Milawa, Milawa to Oxley, Rutherglen to Wahgunyah and Taylors Gap to Myrtleford sections. After a combination of downhill thrills and gold rush history? Have a rolling good time on the Beechworth to Yackandandah and Beechworth to Everton sections.
Bright is a famous base for getaways on the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail and offers up fun for little ones and serious riders alike. For a gentle ride to a natural swimming pool pedal from Bright to Porepunkah or end your ride with apple cider outdoors at Nightingale Bros Alpine Produce on the Bright to Wandiligong section. Put the legs to the test with longer pedal adventures to leafy Harrietville on the Great Valley Trail extension or explore two iconic High Country towns on the Bright to Myrtleford ride.
