HIGH COUNTRY BREWERY TRAIL

LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO DRINK BAD BEER

MEET THE MAKERS

Hit the road, track or trail and discover the High Country Brewery Trail's eight thirst-quenching brewery stops.

Make a multi-day road trip of it to sip craft brews made with local hops, savour some hearty feeds and make new mates in beer gardens with serene High Country views.

Inspired by popular wine trails, the High Country's innovative brewers joined forces to create a must-sip craft beer trail linking cracking beers and unique destinations on a delicious High Country journey.

The annual Rule 47 collaboration.

Each year, the brewers of the High Country Brewery Trail gather at a different member brewery to keg their knowledge and create this limited-edition signature beer.

Putting competition aside in favour of collaboration, this annual brew is always known as Rule 47.

The focus.

The name is a nod to the Velominati Rules of Cycling and their passion for cycling - something on which all the brewers can agree upon.

Rule 47: "Drink tripels, don't ride triples."

Rule 47 is brewed to celebrate a shared passion for good beer, mateship, and life on two wheels.

It's an annual collaboration from Victoria's High Country Brewers - Black Dog Brewery, King River Brewing, Last Street Brewery, Bridge Road Brewers, Bright Brewery, Mitta Mitta Brewery, Crank Handle Brewery and Mountain Monk Brewery.

While the beer style changes every year, the focus never does.

The beer is designed to showcase the talent and quality of the High Country’s brewers, and the fresh hops that are grown right here in our backyard by Hop Products Australia.

Explore beyond the mountains.

The High Country Brewery Trail offers another great way to round out a High Country day of savouring local fare, touring wineries, cruising the Rail Trail or sending it on a downhill MTB track (as many of the brewers do) – and that's kicking back with an ale to drink it all in.
