Windy Corner at Falls Creek.
Boasting a cracking tobogganing slope with day parking and a nearby cafe, Windy Corner at Falls Creek is perfect for families. Equipped with a magic carpet (runs Thurs - Sun and all School Holidays) to make it even more fun, bring or hire a toboggan and your sense of adventure.

Mount Buffalo.
With two designated toboggan areas, Mount Buffalo is made for snowplay. Dingo Dell is best for young families, with a gentle slope and plenty of space for activities. Cresta Valley is a little more diverse with a wide range of terrain and scenery. There is also a large open plateau ready for exploring.

Dinner Plain.
The cruisy Dinner Plain village offers tobogganing, snowshoeing and snow play options galore - including a frisbee golf course and Alpine Playground. The Snow Park is perfect for beginners too, with a gentle downhill slope.

Wire Plain.
Half way between Dinner Plain and Mt Hotham, the beautiful and sheltered Wire Plain has a moderate toboggan slope suited to kids of all ages. While you're there, pop by the Snow Stuff Park and hire some fun snow play gear.

Mt Stirling.
For a memorable and relaxed first snow experience, take the kids to Mt Stirling. Have a crack at building a snowman or a snowball flight. Hit the toboggan slopes or head out for a snowshoe, and just have a downright wholesome time.

Lake Mountain.
This snow playground is only two hours drive from Melbourne. Book in your Lake Mountain tobogganing ticket (including toboggan rental) for access to slopes serviced by snowmaking, an onsite cafe, 37km of cross-country skiing and pretty snow gums. Family getaway sorted.
