Yep, you read that right. Falls Creek is getting a brand new UCI spec MTB Downhill Trail.
The trail-building company Dirt Art began construction in February with World Cup Racer Darcy Coutts leading the project.
“We are excited to get started with works on the new Falls Creek downhill trail. With a range of technical terrain on offer, our teams are looking forward to creating an exciting new gravity trail, which will add a new style of trail to Falls Creek’s already diverse trail network”. Said Dirt Art’s Managing Director, Simon French.
This new addition will serve up roughly 270m of descent over 1.8km running from the Top of the Summit down to the Bottom of Gully and enables Falls Creek to host major national and international events in the future.
All going to plan, the brand new trail will land next summer. With this addition and Falls Creek’s already stacked trail line-up including Skyline, Heavy Metal and Downtown, Falls Creek MTB Park is a must-add to your next riding holiday.
