Skirting the edge of spectacular Winton Swamp, this 13 kilometre return walk follows a natural sand dune with sweeping wetland views, wide open skies and plenty of chances to spot wildlife along the way. Birdwatchers will love the rich variety of birdlife, and lucky walkers may even see a White-bellied Sea Eagle soaring overhead.
Graded medium, the trail is best suited to confident walkers and families with older children who enjoy exploring outdoors. While it is not clearly marked, that sense of discovery is part of the experience, making every step feel like a true country adventure.
Pack water, snacks, sturdy shoes, sun protection and binoculars, then slow down and enjoy the quiet beauty of this hidden wetland gem. If you pass through any gates, please leave them as you found them.
