The walk starts at Isaacs Park, just over the historic Stone Bridge and continues over Commissioners Creek. You will come to the Miner’s Hut, a replica of an original miner’s home during the gold rush and see the historic Court House. You get the picture of where this town has come from. The first school was established in 1864. Young Isaac Isaacs, who became the first Australian born Governor General, was the very first name on the new common school roll.
