Summer Swimming

King Valley Victoria

Cool off this Summer by the water.

We've asked some locals their top tips on where to take a refreshing dip throughout the valley, and here are the top spots:
- Moyhu: at the cross roads in town take the Moyhu-Meadow Creek Road. About a kilometre down on the left, is a great spot for a swim in the King River complete with tree swing and deep pools.
- Lake William Hovell: complete with grassed areas, shady trees and surrounded by bushland. It's peaceful, secluded and pristine. A popular place for families, those looking for peaceful waters to swim, canoe or cast a line.
- Cheshunt: Just before you reach the Cheshunt Store, cross over the bridge and pull off to the left hand side. Offering some shallow areas and deeper pools, shade and grassed areas. It's also an easy walk to the Cheshunt Store for lunch and refreshments.

Remember to take care and remain alert by the waterways. Be aware of the wildlife and respect their habitat. Use sun protection and wear appropriate footwear.
