With minimal traffic and a prime, compact road surface, this ‘Figure 8’ loop is a hidden gravel gem.

Suitable for year-round riding, this tree-lined route is perfect for intermediate gravel cyclists. Cruise through farmland vistas as you depart Chiltern, before taking on the 8km gradual climb to the top of Mt Barambogie through the Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park – the views from the top are worth the leg work. Keep an eye out for local koalas and enjoy spectacular rolling rural vistas as you tackle the long, winding descent back towards town.
