Adventure Guides Australia (AGA) has been providing outdoor adventure tours in the Victoria High Country area since 1985.

Their activity locations include Mount Buffalo National Park, Alpine National Park, Beechworth, Bright, Ovens River, King River, and Kiewa River.

AGA offers a range of adventure tours such as Abseiling, Caving, Canyoning, Rock Climbing, Rafting, Kayaking, Hiking and Gold Panning. All tours are available on weekends, school holidays or by private arrangement.

Crawl through holes, climb up waterfalls and squirm your way through the spectacular granite boulder infill cave. If you are very lucky, you will see the ceiling of the caverns glow like stars at night with the spectacular variety of glow worms which are endemic to the region. This is a serious adventure that is not for the feint hearted. A true challenge both mentally and physically, this 300 metre Multi Pitch Abseiling Challenge down The North Wall of The Mount Buffalo Gorge is sure to test your gumption and stretch your limits. The first abseil pitch of this extraordinary adventure is a massive 160 metres. Then when you finally reach the base of The Gorge the real challenge starts; the climb out. Looking to challenge the family, friends or yourself without jumping in the deep-end? Have a go at the beginners abseiling. It is fun, challenging and rewarding all at once. With a variety of sites ranging from eight metres - 35 metres, it is a great way to experience the mountain.

Completing the beginners abseil, then tackling the 45 metre free fall abseil. This adventure has all the abseils of the beginners abseil then it is followed by a 45 metre free fall abseil looking across the gorge to the 300 metre North Wall of Mount Buffalo. On the walk back from the bottom of the dragon is a small rock climb which adds to the adventure.

Enjoy the scenery of Bright by paddling down the Ovens River. This white water adventure is a good introduction into white water kayaking, using sit-on-top kayaks or two seat inflatable kayaks to paddle down the grade one and two stretch. These adventures can be run from upper Bright and through to lower Bright or to Porepunkah.

This 250 metre abseil can be a big challenge as the first pitch is 90 metre long looking over the Ovens Valley and out to the Australian Alps. The abseil has another four pitches followed by a hike out looking at some of the historical spots of Mount Buffalo.

Hanging around or simply passing through Beechworth and after an activity to do? Abseiling in the Beechworth Gorge is a great way to spend the morning or afternoon. Being close to town allows for easy access with minimal walking required to get to the abseil sites from the road. The access allows for either driving and parking near the sites or walking in from town.
