The Mt Buller 7 Peaks Challenge ride is part of Australia's ultimate self-paced road cycling adventure.

Climb all 7 Peaks to ascend more than 7,000 metres over 160 kilometres.

Meet the Thinker of the 7 Peaks Challenge group. Mt Buller is all about mental fortitude. With no respite or predictable tempo to lock into, it's a mind over matter battle to the peak.

Your 15.3 kilometre ride starts from Mirimbah (or roll out of Mansfield for a longer warm up). Climb 921 metres of elevation with a grade average of 6.2% and grade max of 13% to finish at Mt Buller village. Spin past majestic gums and sweeping views before savouring the sharp hairpins in the last 5 kilometre, but don't peak too early - Hell Corner awaits.

The 7 Peaks Challenge season runs from October to April every year. Head to the Victoria's High Country website to register for the challenge and conquer the peaks of Mt Hotham, Falls Creek, Mt Buffalo, Mt Buller, Dinner Plain, Lake Mountain and Mt Baw Baw during the 2026/27 alpine riding season to go into the draw to win exclusive 7 Peaks Challenge prizes.

This ride takes you into remote alpine areas. Always check the weather conditions, the Vic Emergency App and VicRoads before setting out and wear appropriate kit and clothing layers.
