DISABLED WINTERSPORT AUSTRALIA (DWA)
STEP 1. ARRANGE YOUR VISIT WITH DWA
Book a DWA volunteer guide to maximise your day exploring the slopes of Mt Hotham . First, sign up as a DWA member and then head to the DWA website to book a guide or email the team for more information. Make sure you reach out 14 days in advance to ensure availability.
Newer to snow? In addition to a DWA guide who provides on-snow support all day, you have the option book a lesson with a specialist adaptive snowsports instructor from the Mt Hotham Ski School to receive expert personalised tuition and progress faster (if gaining a level of independence is your goal). DWA can also provide you with specialist adaptive wintersport hire equipment.

STEP 3. GET READY IN THE DWA LOUNGE
The new Alpine Gateway Visitor Facility is the home of DWA’s purpose-built lounge. Meet your guide here and get ready in the dedicated change room. They've got storage sorted as well so you can enjoy the slopes worry free.
SLIDE STRAIGHT ONTO THE SNOW
STEP 4. HIT THE SLOPES WITH YOUR ADAPTIVE GUIDE
Once ready, slide straight onto the snow from the DWA Lounge with your volunteer adaptive guide.
To maximise your snow time your DWA guide can provide on-snow support to match your requirements including chairlift loading/unloading, tethering of sit ski, “bucketing” support through difficult terrain sections, “piloting” support, audible communication and more.
LAP MT HOTHAM'S TRAILS
STEP 5. CATCH THE CHAIRLIFT AND REPEAT
