Up your skills on champagne gravel through tranquil bushland on the Beechworth – Chiltern National Park Loop, taking side trips to the plummeting Woolshed Falls or locals fave Barking Owl Distilling Co along the way.

Lap the gravity trails at Mystic Bike Park in Bright, where weekend shuttles run right through the winter months to maximise your downhill runs.

Take a family-friendly winter pedal along the flat, 6km Murray to Mountains Rail Trail stretch between Milawa and Oxley to discover the Harvest Trail by Beci Orpin, a vibrant open-air gallery featuring whimsical sculptures that celebrate local produce.

Immerse yourself in the crisp mountain air on the Indigo Epic MTB Trail, a premier backcountry singletrack network linking Beechworth and Yackandandandah that offers all-weather winter riding through native forests.

Take on the scenic Lake Hume Loop, a flat and friendly road ride offering expansive water views and the perfect excuse to stop for a warming winter coffee along the way.

Pedal to the Pub Things

Challenge yourself on the advanced Tallangatta – Lake Road Loop, taking in the isolated gravel tracks and sweeping Lake Hume vistas before detouring to the Bethanga Hotel for a classic pub lunch.

Tackle the advanced Kinglake – Captains Ride gravel loop through Mt Robertson State Park before rolling into the relaxed Kinglake Pub for a well-earned winter lunch.

Gravel grind on the Beechworth – Stanley – Murmungee Loop, treating yourself to expansive valley views at the lookout before a warming winter lunch stop at the cosy Stanley Pub.

Pedal the flat, easy Milawa Makers Loop, where you can slowly graze your way through the region with endless stops for farm-gate cheeses, local wines, and elevated vineyard lunches.

Send it down the legendary, hand-cut trails of Big Hill Mountain Bike Park before rolling over to Crank Handle Brewery to thaw out with a fresh craft beer by the outdoor fire.

Shred the diverse network of trails at the Eildon Mountain Bike Park, from pump tracks to flowy downhills, before rolling into the nearby Lake Eildon Hotel for a well-earned, hearty pub meal by the fire.
