Making the most of your visit to the Alpine Resorts takes a little bit of prep.
Before heading to the mountains for your snow holiday, there are a few things you need to have covered to ensure you and your family stay safe, and make the most of your time on mountain.
From carrying snow chains to organising your resort pass, we can point you in the right direction to make sure you have a fantastic snow holiday.
Book your resort entry.
Before you head up the hill, you'll need to purchase your resort entry pass. Each Alpine resort has different entry requirements - check the different Alpine Resort websites for further information.
Alpine Diesel.
If you drive a diesel vehicle and plan on staying on-mountain overnight, you'll need to fill up with alpine diesel. Alpine diesel is available at the service stations at the base of each mountain.
Snow chains.
In winter, carrying snow chains in your vehicle is mandatory in the Alpine resorts. Pick up a pair before heading up the mountain - and if you've never fitted them before, make sure to find out so you don't get stuck.
Check the weather forecast.
Weather on the mountains can change rapidly, it's important to know what's in store so you can plan accordingly. Checking the Bureau of Meteorology before you head up the hill will help you prepare for the on-mountain conditions.
Book in advance.
If you're looking to purchase a lift pass or hire any equipment for your snow holiday, it's highly recommended to book in advance. The snow resorts can be quite busy in peak periods, so booking in advance will ensure you don't miss out and can spend your days on the slopes.
