Feel a million miles away pedalling through the Warby-Ovens National Park's distinctive forests surrounded by abundant birdlife and sweeping views.

Roll from the rural hub of Wangaratta through the beautiful Warby-Ovens National Park on the unexpectedly spectacular Ryans/Taminick Loop. Featuring two tough climbs, this loop is a leg burner that will have you earning your local produce and famous King Valley and Glenrowan region wines at the end. Take a detour off Glenrowan-Boweya Road onto Rowan Lane to sip a brew at Black Dog Brewery or onto Lake Mokan Road to see Winton Wetlands.

  • Begin at the Wangaratta Visitor Information Centre and head out on the Yarrawonga Road, turning left into Wangandary Road.
  • Follow all the way past Jubilee Golf Course and ride on up the hills into the Warby Ranges and on up to Ryan's Lookout.
  • Stop for a photo and then ride on down the hill to Glenrowan-Boweya Road and turn left.
  • Turn left at Taminik Gap Road.
  • Ride up the climb and then descend and turn left at Warby Range Road.
  • Turn right at Shanley Street, and then left into Tone Road and ride back into town.
