A ride from the heart of Kinglake, that takes in one of the lesser frequented areas of town.
Heading out of Kinglake on the gravel Heritage Trail the views open up back to Melbourne with it’s tall buildings clearly visible on a clear day. Extons Road takes you away from the crowds amongst berry growing fields and into more dense bushland. Snake your way down through mixed bushland and gums to the Captains Creek before climbing slowly. A short rough 200m section will pop you out at Wombelano Falls and a further short steep climb drops you back onto the road you rolled in on. Head back to Kinglake from here for a well earned reward.
