Beechworth MTB Park is located on the northern outskirts of Beechworth in a compact plot of land punctuated by granite, granite and, yes, more granite.

What it lacks in size it makes up for in varied terrain and ride options to suit beginners through to advanced riders. The 10.5km Yellow Arrow Trail takes in the entirety of the available land and on paper looks like a bowl of spaghetti with the trail snaking about in close proximity to itself. You’re unlikely to recognise how tightly the trails are packed in as you fly through fast flowing sections or have your head down grinding up the technical climbs that punctuate the descents.

Built on a granite base, the trail isn't lacking in technical rocky sections that challenge your momentum and reward when you find the right line. Composed of a number of named tracks, highlights include the rocky ridgeline of Rusty Stuff, the sustained fast flowing descent of Secret Track and for those who like a challenge, The Grind that takes you from the lowest point of the park back to the carpark via a series of switch backs that leave you out of breath, but wanting more.
