Tolpuddle is a sustainable farm and goat dairy on 120 acres in the Ovens Valley. They produce a range of specialty cheeses using only the milk from their small herd of Saanen dairy goats. The Tolpuddle farm gate is open to visitors from Spring through until the end of Autumn each year. Tolpuddle closes during the cold Winter months to give their girls a well-earned break before the babies arrive in Spring.
‘Tolpuddle Farmers’ Melissa and Donovan have a passion for sharing what they do – from pasture to plate. When you visit the farm, they will guide you through a cheese tasting, serve you a high country grazing platter in the garden and introduce you to their gorgeous girls. Farm Open Days, behind the scenes tours and workshops in milking, animal husbandry and cheesemaking are held seasonally. Tolpuddle Farmstay accommodation in the historic ‘Rusholme’ farmhouse offers visitors a unique experience of farming life.
Tolpuddle Farm is open from 11:00am – 4:00pm on Thursday to Saturday each week (closed June-August for ‘goaternity’ leave).
