Australian Native Insect Pollinators

1 Hanson Street Corryong Victoria

Attention farmers, gardeners and amateur naturalists!

Native pollinators have always worked quietly in the background and are to whom most native flora have long adapted pre the introduction of the European honey bee. They hope these native “bugs” will now step up to counteract the negative effects of the parasitic Varroa mite that has unfortunately reached Australia.

Guest Speaker Karen Retra, native pollinator expert, and native bee tragic, is no stranger to the Upper Murray and has given a number of very informative talks on this subject in the past. Karen’s talk on Australian Native Pollinators – Native bees in particular – will be followed by tea or coffee and a light supper.

The Corryong Wetlands and Open Woodland Wander Inc. acknowledges the support of Emergency Recovery Victoria (ERV) via the Corryong Community Recovery Committee for this educational, informative and no doubt entertaining seminar.

Book your spot via the link to be ensured a cup of tea and yummy nibbles with a light supper.
